Professional quality MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 Encoders for IPTV, Content Transport and Video On Demand services. The Media Converter makes efficient encoding possible for QuadPlay™ Media's end-to-end IPTV Platform.

The QuadPlay™ Media media converter is essential for encoding stored content and is capable of recognising over 50 different media codec types. QuadPlay™ Media has successfully implemented AVC/H.264 to deliver optimal quality, full resolution video at up to five-times lower bit rate than can be achieved with MPEG2 compression. The resulting bandwidth and cost savings that result for IPTV service providers and broadcasters are enormous. The technology can encode stored media files as well as cable, terrestrial and satellite feeds. It is fully integrated with QuadPlay™ Media's DRM and Content Security Solution, thereby guaranteeing high-level content security for encoded content. Being software-based means that the system can be easily upgraded in the future. The encoder has been designed with important built-in features such as redundancy, scalability through modularity, support for load balancing and auto failover mechanisms, providing a true 24X7 operational environment. The modular architecture is built on carrier grade Intel XEON based dual processor technology, within compact 1U sized server hardware with built-in 100Mbps and Gigabit Ethernet connectivity. It is an ideal solution for IPTV Service Providers, Internet Service Providers and broadcasters alike.
The QuadPlay™ Media MCON4-SC is a robust, industry grade encoder system for encoding stored content files to high quality full resolution MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 advanced profile format at low bit-rate (less than 1Mbps). It features advanced features like remote management capability, batch encoding, sequencing, scheduling, queuing and prioritising. The simple to use interface minimises operational efforts, while the remote management and monitoring capabilities offer true flexibility.
